I did this piece because I liked the idea of crayons melting down a board but I wanted to try hanging it upside down and seeing how it would turn out, at this moment I do not have a final picture of this project I will get one soon to update this post but till then I will tell you how I did this project. First I cut the plastic containers in half and used those as my base at first tried to only use the smaller/ normal size crayons but I soon ran out and had to use the bigger size my pattern was based off a rainbow but with crayons it didn’t turn out as I planned I expected the crayons to have a harder structure when it melted but it turned to the same constancy as water and just dripped down into a puddle and made layers but it’s hard to see the layers.

I did this project because I seen a student make a picture out of sticky notes and I wanted to make mine relevant to the classroom, my art teachers favorite saying for when one of us are acting up is "Don't be a bad baby." So I wanted to make it funny and since I only had certain colors I couldn't do much. I will be writing three different different quotes from my teacher on each sticky note. They will say "No dating in high school." "Boys are gross." Don't be a bad baby." i was inspired by my teacher and his students from his old school. |
